Throughout the chapter I realized that it provided many examples of what could be technology. For example, on page 11 of the textbook the author refers to a pencil and paper as a form of technology. I like the definition of technology in the book, it does not limit technology to only computers. Another thing that I liked in the chapter was the introduction to the chapter, which was the Case: Balancing Act, not only does it have humor but it’s also relatable. When I first registered for this course I was wondering what is IT 3210 and why do I need to take this course when I have already took a course about computers in High school and college.
     Page 13 of the text states that students learn faster in computer based classroom and that students have more positive attitudes towards classrooms with computer based instruction. I personally agree and disagree with this statement. I do believe that people learn faster in classroom with technology because it keeps me more alert and active in the course. On the other hand I don’t believe that computer based classrooms always give people a more positive attitude towards classes. I have personally been in classes that included a large amount of technology that intimidated the students instead of motivated them.    Overall technology can be very beneficial. Not only can it connect people to one another in various ways;Technology can also help students with disabilities.      During this course I plan to learn how technology can be used inside of the classroom as well as many other learning environments. I am aware that technology is being used more and more in pop culture and it is relevant in everyday life; therefore, it is important to be able to use technology in the classrooms today. Inside of the course I would like to get feedback to better what I have done and explain to me what to do to make necessary changes. I like to know what I’ve done wrong and how to fix it. As of now I used some technology in the classroom, but not much of the new technology that is used in college courses.
      In this course I would miss the topics on Prezi because it seems interesting and I have never saw, nor heard of it before. Based on what I have saw about Prezi since we’ve been in this course I like the way it is used and what it can do to help make the classroom interesting. I believe that technology should be used inside of the classroom to teach lessons as well as to teach students evolve with technology and its constant change.
      I firmly believe that technology should be used inside of the classroom. Using technology inside of the classroom can enhance the amount of technology a lot of young people know today, as well as teach people who have never worked with technology how to use technology correctly and to the best of its ability. Technology should be used as much as possible, because like I believe that if you don’t use it you lose it.
     I believe this course will be difficult at times, but it will also teach me a lot that I do not know about technology. I use technology everyday at work and I understand its importance, especially since I’ve become a student at Georgia State University. Before I came to GSU I attended Atlanta Metropolitan College to receive my Associates Degree. ATLM was completely different from GSU, we did use Technology at ATLM but not nearly enough as I have used in the last two semesters at GSU.
